— The 2015 SHOT Show is in the books and we’re headed home! It was great meeting a lot of you in person and for those following online, we hope you enjoyed the coverage! ^MP
— We stopped by the Magpul booth to check out their new Glock mags, the PMAG D-60, AK furniture and other products. They always have a great display set up so people can get their hands on with everything and truly get a feel for their products. ^MP
— Over the next few years, A-TACS will be updating their camouflage lineup as well as introducing their iX pattern. It’s a fantastic middle ground between their AU and FG color schemes and bridges the gap across the board. Keep an eye for an official photo of the pattern as close up photos weren’t allowed. It has an interesting look, almost like coral underwater and the unique pattern adds depth overall. ^MP
— Emerson Knives showed off their special limited edition Patriot model knife that was built using 250 year old Oak from George Washington’s Farm. Also included is a custom die struck coin on gun metal copper. This would be an incredibly awesome knife to add to the collection for sure. ^MP
— We stopped by the LWRC booth to see their new SMG-45 and some other guns they had on display. The SMG-45 has ambidextrous controls and a folding stock and is designed for military and law enforcement with a civilian model on the way. ^MP
— The SureFire Titan and Titan Plus flashlights are small but powerful. Both run on a single AAA battery with the Titan putting out 15 and 125 lumens (dual mode) and the Titan Plus 15 and 300 lumens. ^MP
— Here’s a collection of random things we found during the show that caught our eye and in no particular order. ^MP
— S&S new drop down system, will go from belt to 3″ drop down. Will mount the G-Code and Safariland. Pretty neat system. ^ES
— Cockpit USA makes jackets for military and law enforcement pilots but they also have a line of replica jackets and canvas/leather bags. High quality and made in the USA, I’m a sucker for the old bomber jacket look and would love to pick one up myself. They even did the jackets for the Explorers Club in New York City. ^MP
— The new Rechargeable Lighted Collar from BriteStrike has both a flashing and always on mode to keep an eye on your dog in the dark. It also recharges through a small solar panel and/or USB port. They also introduced the adhesive APALS Air that are small reflective panels with a built in LED for added visibility. ^MP
— The new BriteStrike Brite-Blade packs a lot of little features in a small space. It has a 45 lumen white light with magnetic base as well as a second red light for swapping out, emergency carbide window punch, seat belt cutter, fire starter striking tool/edge deburring tool, dual thumb posts and clip holes drilled on other side and extra pocket clip. Available in straight or serrated blade models for $150 MSRP. ^MP
— We’re up and ready to start the final day of the 2015 SHOT Show!
